What's the connection between bikes and art? What happens when you try to make a business out of that connection? And what do you do when things inevitably go sideways? These and many other questions no one asked will be answered by Charles K. Youel, founder and Creative Director of ARTCRANK. He'll also talk about creating a job you love, making friends with failure, and why being slightly terrified by what you're going to do next is actually a good thing.
Charles is the founder and Creative Director of ARTCRANK®, a pop-up art show series and online store featuring bike-inspired posters. ARTCRANK held its first show in Minneapolis in 2007, and has staged more than 75 events featuring handmade, limited-edition prints in cities across the U.S. and beyond, including shows in Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Austin, Chicago, New York, Boston, London, and Paris. In 2015, ARTCRANK launched a Bike Poster Shop at artcrank.com, featuring handmade, limited-edition posters designed by independent artists.
